The Pharisees brought a woman who had sinned before Christ and trying to trap the Savior asked, ®Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?®
Jesus turned to the gathering crowd and said, ®He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.® Burdened under the weight of their own guilt the crowd left, leaving Christ and the woman alone. Jesus then turned to her and in words of mercy said, ®hath no man condemned thee?...Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.® – John 8
It is easy to stand in the crowd and point out the sins of others. But in those quiet moments when we are left alone with the Savior we too pray for His forgiveness, and find peace in His words, ®Go and sin no more.®
